The Ocean Frontier Institute, through the Ocean Graduate Excellence Network, is offering graduate studentship top-up funding to successful applicants to the current Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) calls for proposals.
To be eligible, you must:
- Have a positive outcome from your application to the DFO calls for proposals (Ocean Management Contribution Program or Ecosystems and Oceans Science Contribution Framework)
- Have a project proposal budget including line items for graduate student stipend/salary (i.e., DFO is contributing funding that will be directly applied to graduate student stipend)
- Be an eligible academic supervisor at one of OGEN’s partner institutions
- Have, or plan to recruit, an eligible graduate student to the project, who is interested in participating in the OGEN program
- Agree to the OGEN funding model and commitments
- Agree to supporting your student’s professional development and encouraging their completion of co-curricular activities
