Krista Sweetland
Program Coordinator (Marine Institute), Centre of Excellence in Observational Oceanography
Krista Sweetland is an International Program Officer at MI International, the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University (MI), and the Program Coordinator for the Nippon Foundation - Partnership for Observation of the Global Ocean (POGO) Centre of Excellence in Observational Oceanography at the Marine Institute. Krista holds an International Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Post-Secondary Education, both from Memorial University. Krista has been with MI since 2013, gaining experience in academic and student affairs, student recruitment, and international project management. She has played a key role in supporting the Centre of Excellence scholars’ arrival and first weeks of the program, and continues to provide support and foster community and connection throughout the scholars' academic experience in Canada.
