Community Climate Adaptation Fund
The Community Climate Adaption Fund will support up to five projects each year with individual project awards of $10,000 - $30,000. The most successful projects will be eligible to receive an extension grant of up to $50,000 to continue to build and deliver on their preliminary work.
Researchers from the following Canadian academic institutions, in partnership with OFI, are encouraged to apply to this funding opportunity. Funding will be awarded to the researchers at each institution and, depending on their institutional guidelines, is anticipated to be partially passed on as subcontracts or grants to their community partners.
Dalhousie University operates in the unceded territories of the Mi’kmaw, Wolastoqey, and Peskotomuhkati Peoples. These sovereign nations hold inherent rights as the original peoples of these lands, and we each carry collective obligations under the Peace and Friendship Treaties. Section 35 of the Constitution Act, 1982 recognizes and affirms Aboriginal and Treaty rights in Canada.
