Empowering Ocean Research with AI: DeepSense Workshop

DeepSense is partnering for this round of Seed funding by:

Supporting potential applicants through two workshops to highlight the opportunity for artificial intelligence to advance their Seed Fund research outcomes.
Supporting successful applicants by funding a researcher from computer science or other relevant discipline for four months to help extend the use of ocean data through machine learning, complex visualizations, or a data strategy.

About the workshops

Organized by DeepSense, two virtual workshops will be held for researchers who are interested in applying for Seed funding.

The session will cover:

Machine learning fundamentals and requirements
Data evaluation opportunities
AI successes and best practices
Specific topics via breakout room discussions:

AI expertise for existing solutions
Understanding data and options
Exploring AI applications

Follow up and individual feedback
