About

Katrina Anthony

Why are you involved on this project?

I initially applied for the job because it is in the research field. I didn't know how much I would enjoy this job and how impactful it would be when I applied.

How does your work relate to Nunatsiavut?

Inuit rely on the land, sea, ice and animals to survive and to live as Inuit. The research is taking place in Nunatsiavut and the changes happening will have the biggest impact on Nunatsiavummiut. So, it is important that the data collected be relevant to the needs, values and priorities of Nunatsiavummiut.

What is your favourite outdoor activity?

I enjoy any time outside, but I would probably say a boil up or ice fishing are some of my favourite outdoor activities.

What is your favourite place in the world?

I haven't been to many places in the world yet, but I really loved my time in Greenland. I really enjoyed my time in the communities I was in, the culture I experienced and the beautiful land.
